The vineyard shares its geology with the Grands Crus, and each parcel is lovingly tended out the unique expressive qualities of the soils. Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Merlot (30%) are planted at high vine densities to produce the very best of Pessac-Léognan Appellation. A wine of great finesse and poise : elegance and structure underpin red and blackberry fruits, with notes of silky oak and a long finish.

Grapes varieties: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot.

Terroir: Sand and fine white gravel.

Planting density: 10 000 vines / hectare.

Yields: 38 hl/ha.

Age of vines: 25 years.

Viticulture: Sustainable viticulture, some work with horses. Hand harvesting by parcel. Selection/sorting in vineyard and again at winery.

Vinification: Traditional vinification by parcel. Stainless steel vats with temperature control.

Maturation and bottling: French oak barrels for 12-14 months, 30-50% new oak. Bottled entirely at the estate.

Wine Tasting: The nose is powerful with black fruit, slightly wooded. Mouth is charming and generous, explosion of fruit with soft tannins and good freshness. Wine of character and depth.

Ageing: Until 20 years.

Food pairing: Rack of lamb with parsley.
